Q. Is your site secured? A. Our site is secured with an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
SSL takes all information sent and encrypts it. This ensures that the message cannot be read during transfer. Once the information is received by the intended recipient, SSL unscrambles the message and verifies that it has not been tampered with.
B. Our site is also HACKER SAFE certified. Q. How long have you been in business? A. We have been in business since 1984. Q. What are your hours of operation? A. Van's Gifts is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, Monday through Friday. During the month of December we are open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. PST Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. PST Saturday & Sunday. Q. How long will the food in the gifts be consumable? A. 6 months from the date of purchase. Q. Do you guarantee your products? A. We stand behind the quality of our products and services. If at any time one of our items fails to meet your expectations, simply return the item within 7 days and we will refund, replace, or exchange it - whichever you prefer. Q. How are the gifts assembled? A. They are hand packed and then shrink-wrapped to ensure both placement and safety during shipping. Q. Do you ship chocolate in the summer? A. From May - September any of our chocolate items in our gift baskets are replaced with other gourmet food of equal or greater value due to weather conditions. Q. What forms of payment do you accept? A. Online we accept American Express, Visa & Mastercard. In addition to those, we also accept checks for fax, mail, or phone orders. Q. How long does it take for the gift to arrive? A. Shipped via standard UPS Ground, gifts take 2 to 7 business days to arrive depending on location. Q. Do you have express shipping available? A. We are a UPS Preferred Customer. Along with UPS Ground shipping, we offer Next Day, 2nd Day, and 3rd Day Air. During checkout, you can select the shipping method you prefer. Q. Are there any restrictions on where wine can be shipped? A. We ship wine to the following 23 states: Alaska (AK), California (CA), Colorado (CO), Florida (FL), Hawaii (HI), Idaho (ID), Illinois (IL), Iowa (IA), Louisiana (LA), Minnesota (MN) Missouri (MO), Nebraska (NE), Nevada (NV), New Mexico (NM), North Carolina (NC), North Dakota (ND), Ohio (OH), Oregon (OR), Texas (TX), Virginia (VA), Washington DC (DC), West Virginia (WV), Wyoming (WY). Q. Is there any sales tax on your gifts? A. We are required to collect sales tax on spa gifts and gifts containing wine that are shipped to the state of California. Q. Where can I find my Customer Code? A. If you have received a print catalog from us, your CUSTOMER CODE can be found on the back cover in the blue box above your mailing address. If you have not ever received a print catalog from us, you do not need to enter a CUSTOMER CODE when ordering. Q. Is shipping insurance available? How much does it cost? A. Our gifts are automatically insured against loss and damage during transit at no extra cost to our customers.. Q. Are the bottles of wine standard size as seen in stores? A. Yes. All of our wines come in standard 750ml bottles, unless indicated to be split bottles, which are 187ml. Q. Can you ship internationally? A. We are restricted to shipping anywhere within the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska. Q. Can I customize my basket? A. Yes. Order must be placed between January 1st and November 5th, and must be at least 300 units or total over $5,000. Q. Do you ever substitute your products? A. In the rare event that a particular product in a gift is out of stock, you will receive an automatic upgrade for the replacement of that item. Q. Will my information ever be shared or sold to other parties? A. Van's Gifts respects the privacy of our customers; our company policy is to never disclose our customers' information with any other parties. Q. What is the maximum amount of recipients that I can order for online? A. We accept a maximum of 60 recipients per order. If you would like to send to more than 60 recipients, we recommend phoning or faxing in your order and taking advantage of our Corporate Rewards program .
